After starting up a recreational club in Fyvie in 1985, I became more involved with the sport and starting coaching at our competitive club in Aberdeen, of which I am now head coach of the Bon Accord section.

In 1975 I was introduced by my dad ‘Doug’ to gymnastics and it’s been under my skin since then.  After being in Scottish squads, and competing in British finals I retired later coming back to the sport after raising my family of 4. With great delight my children enjoy the sport as much as I do, with Jaz and Sam still heavily involved to this day.

I have been involved with the club since 1998. Before becoming a Judge & coach I was a competitive Scottish Squad gymnast, following in the footsteps of my mum ‘Niki’ and Granda ‘Doug’.

It all started so long ago that the date escapes me.As a gymnast for over 8 years myself I represented Scotland at the ripe old age of 40, and still at 63 here I am. I have in the past also been a judge for the club and have been proud to watched both my daughter ‘Niki’ and granddaughter ‘Jasmine’ come up through this great sport.
